  • Peter Milne

    Peter Milne - Managing Director and Technical Director

    Peter founded The Electric Canvas in 1997 and was an early proponent of architectural masking techniques these days known as “mapping”. With 40 years of experience as a lighting designer, technical director, project manager and projection designer, Peter takes a hands-on approach overseeing all of the company’s projects.

    Under Peter’s leadership The Electric Canvas has produced site-specific projections for Federal, State and Local Governments and has contributed to numerous major arts festivals and cultural events. Peter has also overseen the projection components for an impressive array of public ceremonies around the world, commencing with the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games Ceremonies and, more recently, the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Ceremonies.

  • Glenn Williams - Chief Technician

    Glenn has worked in the entertainment and event industry for over 30 years, specialising in lighting and projection. He has toured with the likes of Bon Jovi, The Eagles and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and his theatre credits include Carmen in the Round, the Great China Circus and the Bolshoi Ballet.

    Glenn has been with The Electric Canvas for over 20 years, initially as Chief Technician and more recently as Operations Manager, and has worked on almost every one of our projects. His expertise and skills in projection, site management and crew supervision make him an invaluable part of the team.

  • Cat Smith - Administration Manager

    Cat returned to The Electric Canvas in 2017 after having first worked with us some twelve years ago. With diplomas in executive office management and leadership, she brings twenty years of administration and coordination experience to the TEC team. Cat's extensive skillset covers areas such as contract management, business analytics and planning, HR administration and event planning. In addition to overseeing the company's day-to-day operations, she is also responsible for our production administration and logistics, including equipment freight, crew travel and WHS coordination.

  • Daniel Snitzer - Art Director and Animator

    Daniel joined The Electric Canvas in the role of Art Director in June 2018. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney in 2010, Dan has proved himself across a wide range of capacities in the field of visual design and motion graphics. He has also won several awards for his work. As Dan sinks his teeth into the wonderful world of projection mapping, he looks forward to leading our talented team of artists and contributing to TEC's ongoing success.

  • Jacqueline Livermore - Content Creative Producer

    The Electric Canvas welcomed Jacqueline to the newly established role of Content Creative Producer in 2017. Jacquie brings six years of creative producing and directing expertise to our Art Department, where she plays a vital role in its daily operation. In addition to developing creative concepts and responding to clients’ briefs, she ensures production timelines are always met and liaises with clients throughout the entire content design and production phase. In the short time since joining the company, Jacqueline has integrated seamlessly and has emerged as an indispensable asset to the TEC team.

  • Alison Gill - Business Development Manager

    Alison has worked in the field of large-scale projection for 25 years. Her career has taken her around the globe, from New York to London to Paris, in a variety of capacities from sales and account management, to marketing, to project coordination. An Australian national, Alison returned to Sydney in late 2012 and joined The Electric Canvas. She spearheads the development of new business and oversees the coordination of bids and proposals. As well as assisting new and existing clients with their project requirements, Alison also coordinates the Company’s marketing endeavours.

  • Blake Johnson - Audio Visual Technician & Programmer

    Blake began working in the audio visual industry six years ago, where he quickly developed a keen interest in projection mapping and, in particular, media servers and control software. Blake's knowledge of digital media technology, as well as his programming and IT skills, are a great asset both behind the scenes and on-site. An autodidact in the realm of computer coding, Blake has developed several interactive projection activations since his time with The Electric Canvas, including the highly successful “Framed” installation at the National Portrait Gallery as part of the projections for Enlighten 2017 and 2018.

  • Josh Feltham - Audio Visual Techncian

    Josh had worked as an audio visual technician for three years prior to joining The Electric Canvas in early 2017, having gained experience across a number of AV disciplines such as projection, LED, camera systems and media servers. Josh has a fascination for all facets of digital media and he has a real passion for combining projection, architecture and storytelling. In the time he has been with the Company, he has become a key member of our technical team and works on the vast majority of our digital projection projects. Josh has also demonstrated his skills as an adept camera operator and video editor.

  • Santiago Florez - Senior Animator

    Santiago has over 10 years of experience as a 3D animation and motion graphics designer. Shortly after completing a BA in Industrial Design (Multimedia and Electronic Arts) in Colombia, he moved to Australia to undertake a Masters in Visual Art (Character Animation). When Santiago joined The Electric Canvas in mid-2016 he was somewhat new to the art of architectural projection, but over the last two years he has been instrumental in the success of many of our creative works. Santiago’s passion is visual storytelling and blending reality with fantasy. His talent and enthusiasm for creative challenges brings an exciting edge to our design team.

  • Tim Campbell - Maintenance Engineer and Render Farm Manager

    Before joining The Electric Canvas and the world of large-scale events in 2012, Tim spent over ten years as an installation and maintenance technician working with Audio Visual, Data, Telecommunications and IT Networking Systems. Apart from his on-site delivery duties, Tim’s role includes the meticulous maintenance of our video projectors to the highest possible standard. His skills and knowledge are invaluable when it comes to ensuring that our projection equipment is always show-ready. Tim is also responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of our digital content render farm.

  • Wenyu Zhu - Motion Graphics Designer

    The youngest member of our creative team, Wenyu joined The Electric Canvas in 2016 after graduating from with a bachelor’s in Design in Animation. Primarily a 2D and 3D motion graphics artist, Wenyu’s creative skill set also includes illustration and photo/video editing. Wenyu loves producing creative work that people can enjoy - anything from a short gif to a music video, or using any medium that brings the physical and mental worlds together. Since joining The Electric Canvas, he has been fervently honing his talents in the art of projection mapping and has been a key contributor to several of our major projects.

  • Anthony Ripamonti - Audio Visual Maintenance Technician

    Anthony has worked in the events and audiovisual industries for over 20 years. During this time he has gained detailed working knowledge across a vast range of audio, lighting and video equipment, but his true passion lies in projection. While working on the digital upgrade of a major cinema chain across Australia, Anthony gained comprehensive knowledge of the Christie Digital range of projectors, including their repair and maintenance. He continues this work at The Electric Canvas, as he meticulously maintains the health of our digital projection fleet and provides invaluable support for our on-site technicians.

  • Eric Guo - Accounts Manager and Chinese Export Manager

    Eric completed his Bachelor of Business in transportation and logistics in Shanghai, China. In 2002, he continued his post-graduate education in Sydney and was conferred a double masters degree in International Business and International Communications. Eric began working with The Electric Canvas in 2004 to assist with developing our presence in the Chinese special events market. He went on to complete a masters degree in professional accounting in 2006 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and has since overseen the Company's day-to-day accounting.

  • Fletcher Holloway - Warehouse Assistant

    Fletcher joined The Electric Canvas in 2017 as our warehouse assistant. He ensures that our technical workspaces are well organised and assists the team in preparing the delivery of our projects. Fletcher also constructs much of the customised components for housing our equipment on-site. A keen musician and composer, he also loves to design and craft bespoke surfboards and skateboards.
